What is a CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is part of a growing social movement that encourages urban & rural citizens to share responsibility for the land where their food is grown as well as how their food is produced. In simplest terms,

CSA is a partnership between agricultural producers and consumers.

Members or “shareholders” pay a fee at the beginning of the growing season to meet a farm’s operating expenses for the upcoming season. In return, members receive a portion of the farm’s produce each week throughout the growing season. 

About Us


We are a family farm outside of Ridgeway, Ohio with a specialization in greenhouse growing and hay. We sell tomatoes, cucumbers, green beans, lettuce and many other yummy crops year round at Worthington Farmers Market-come see us one day!

We specialize in CSAs - community supported agriculture, or in more simple terms, a produce subscription where you get the basic fruits and vegetables on a weekly basis.


Bill VanScoy, owner of VanScoy Farms. He is a graduate of Wilmington College in Ohio with a degree in Production Agriculture and has been farming all of his life. He is active in many community areas in addition to the farm.



Wesley VanScoy is an owner of VanScoy Farms, and the eldest son of Bill & Sonie. Wesley has an associate's degree in Agribusiness Management and Technologies from the University of Northwestern Ohio.  He has grown up on this farm and growing crops, and working the ground. Meeting people is exciting for him, so come out to the markets and say hi!
